Paprika
Paprika

How good are peppers for our immune system?
With its low calorie content, paprika is not only good for a slim, athletic figure, but also beneficial for the immune system thanks to its rich vitamin content.
Above all, the high vitamin C content of raw peppers, approx. 140mg per 100g of raw peppers, is good for the body's own defenses and cell protection. The vitamin C content of 100g of raw peppers exceeds the average daily requirement (100mg) by almost 50%. This can prevent cardiovascular diseases in particular. However, it is not only the cardiovascular system that benefits from the high vitamin content, your own figure can also benefit from vitamin C. The more vitamin C there is in the body's circulation, the more energy can be obtained from the fat stored on the body. In other words, vitamin C helps you lose weight. The secondary plant substances such as luteolin also help the body to avoid or inhibit new fat and sugar formation, which in turn means that peppers can prevent diabetes.
Do peppers strengthen our eyesight?
At around 180mg per 100g of raw peppers, the vitamin A content is also high compared to other vegetables. Vitamin A is mainly known for strengthening the eyesight and beautifying the skin and complexion.
What is the difference between the different colors of peppers?
The low calorie content of approx. 56 per 150g of raw peppers is also good for the figure and filling, especially due to the high fiber content compared to the calories. The crunchy structure of the peppers makes them the perfect healthy "crunchy snack" compared to potato chips or other snacks. The color of the peppers and the degree of ripeness can also make a difference. While green peppers are still unripe and taste rather tart, the medium-ripe yellow ones have a rather spicy taste. Red peppers, on the other hand, are fully ripe and taste rather sweet.
